Continueing the idea from my last journal with the life force/magic concept, I've had some more ideas about it. I've divided these powers into three catagories; charmers, elementalists, and enhancers.

Charmers have the ability to manipulate other people. Basically, it allows the charmer to communicate with the spirit of another person and subconciously suggest emotions, thoughts, or ideas. It's not powerful enough to control a persons mind but in the hands of a charismatic person it could be quite effective. Although most charmers aren't aware of what their ability accually does, they learn to use it in many unique ways.

Elementalists have the ability to manipulate nature. It's not like the fireball casting magic type stuff but more of a catalyst, manipulating something thats already there. The uses of an elementalist without much knowledge of nature is very limited. The special few, however, that practice their gift and are well studied in natural and physical laws can prove quite formidable. These devoted people are known as alchemists. It's kind of like Full Metal Alchemist but its not at the same time. Where on FMA, they use transmutation circles, my alchemist use their gift. Also on FMA, they could accomplish astounding tasks without much reason, my alchemist will be bound more by physical laws and use thier ability more to rush the process of chemical reactions.

Enhancers have the ability to manipulate themselves. This one I haven't thought as much about so right now its pretty open-ended. I'll get to this one more some other time.

I'm pretty happy with this idea. It doesn't give that almighty godly power feel to some of the characters that some fantasy novels have. Anyways, thats my thoughts for today. Till next time~
